A FEW WEEKENDS ago my wife and I ventured down to southern Connecticut to join my three brothers and their wives for an intimate family celebration of my little brother’s 40th birthday. My brothers and I have gambled on occasion in Las Vegas, and my brother’s wife decided on Foxwoods for the surprise celebration.
